Vaccinations We Offer

Diphtheria, Tetanus & Polio

Diphtheria and tetanus vaccines should be up to date within the last 10 years for anyone travelling to areas with close contact with local populations. Polio, though largely eradicated, still exists in some African and Asian countries.

Hepatitis A

Common in developing countries with poor sanitation, spread through contaminated food, water or close contact. A pre-travel vaccination helps prevent infection.

Hepatitis A + Typhoid

A combined vaccine covering both Hepatitis A and Typhoid, recommended for travellers to areas where sanitation and food hygiene may be poor.

Hepatitis B

More widespread in densely populated countries, spread through unprotected sex, blood or bodily fluids. Left untreated, infection can become lifelong.

Japanese Encephalitis

Common in rural farming areas of Asia, spread by mosquito bite after sunset. Worth considering if spending significant time in rural areas, particularly during monsoon season.

Meningitis ACWY

Recommended for extended travel with close contact with local populations during high-risk seasons, and may be required for travel to Saudi Arabia.

Rabies

A serious virus most commonly contracted through a bite from an infected mammal. If you think you may have been exposed, wash the area thoroughly and seek medical attention as soon as possible, ideally within 24 hours.

Tick-Borne Encephalitis

Spread by an infected tick bite, worth considering if you plan prolonged time walking, camping or working in wooded or grassy areas during summer and autumn.

Typhoid

Common in areas with poor sanitation, contracted through contaminated food and water. A pre-travel vaccination and careful eating and drinking abroad help reduce risk.
