Coil Fitting
An Intrauterine Device (IUD), often known as a "coil" or "copper coil", is a small T-shaped copper device fitted into the uterus by a doctor or nurse. It protects against pregnancy for between 5 and 10 years by releasing copper into the womb.
You will have a consultation with the doctor before the coil is fitted; the fitting appointment itself lasts 60 minutes. Once fitted, we offer regular check-ups and coil removal.
Oral Contraception
Oral contraception is another method we can offer at Levitas Clinic Surrey. We recommend patients speak to a GP to discuss what options are available to them.
